«Era fundamental que quem viesse de longe também se sentisse em casa. Conhecemo-nos em Portugal, não poderíamos casar noutro lugar. Mas também somos Alemanha, e todos os outros sítios onde já passámos e fizemos amigos. Queríamos que isso estivesse presente na cerimónia, na festa e no espírito. O mais difícil foi ver o tempo passar tão depressa no dia do casamento, não o poder esticar para conseguir retribuir devidamente todo o amor que recebemos naquele dia. E comer os doces.»
